Analysis: Disasi endured a roller-coaster afternoon at London Stadium, first turning Ao Tanaka's 26th-minute shot into his own net to put Leeds United in front, then making up for it with a powerful close-range finish in the 96th minute to cap West Ham's wild stoppage-time comeback and send the match to extra time. He closed with one goal, seven clearances and two interceptions in a bruising 120-minute shift at center-back, with West Ham also having two goals wiped away by VAR during extra time. Disasi has been a locked-in starter for West Ham under coach Nuno Espirito Santo and is starting to bring real danger on set pieces at a point when the Hammers need production from every corner of the squad in their relegation fight.
Loaned to West Ham
Disasi has joined West Ham United on a loan transfer from Chelsea for the remainder of the 2025/26 campaign, his new team announced Monday.
Analysis: Disasi hasn't played in Premier League action since April 22 when he was on loan in Aston Villa, failing to be considered in Chelsea's rotation. The move to the Hammers presents a great opportunity for him to get back on track if he's able to improve on the level of Konstantinos Mavropanos and Jean-Clair Todibo.
Training with team Tuesday
Disasi is training with the team for the first time this season, according to Bobby Vincent from Football London.
Analysis: Disasi was spotted in team training on Tuesday for the first time of the season under new coach Liam Rosenior. The center-back was out of the plans of former coach Enzo Maresca and could be set to return to the squad and get a chance in the near future.
Working back to squad
Disasi is being re-integrated into the squad, Football.london reports.
Analysis: Disasi was removed from the squad prior to the season, but has been working on his fitness with youth teams and in training. Reports indicate that the defender has been doing well and could be re-integrated into the squad. Disasi would be another defensive option for the injury-riddled backline.
Not included on UCL squad list
Disasi hasn't been included in Chelsea's squad list for the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League and is not expected to play for the club in the near future.
Analysis: Disasi is in a similar situation to other out-of-favor players, such as Raheem Sterling and David Fofana. The defender has been linked with a move to Besiktas, and Saudi Pro League clubs have also shown an intention of signing him, but he won't be an option for Enzo Maresca even if he's healthy and available to play.
