Quiet in start
Robertson generated one shot (zero on goal) and two crosses (zero accurate) in Sunday's 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur.
Analysis: Robertson got the start over Milos Kerkez in a rotated Liverpool side, and did well, though he was largely held quiet. He just doesn't have the offensive upside he once did, and doesn't offer the same wide threat. Robertson is still getting rotational minutes, but he's firmly behind Kerkez in the pecking order.
Four crosses
Robertson had four crosses (one accurate) and two corners in Thursday's 0-0 draw against Leeds United.
Analysis: Robertson continues to play a larger role than anticipated with Milos Kerkez failing to bed in with his new club immediately. Robertson is still a good left-back, but his days of pushing for double-digit goal contributions are in the past. He simply doesn't have the same final ball he once did. Robertson still has plenty of upside when he's given a place in the starting XI, though he's not a gamebreaker anymore.
Retains his spot
Robertson has started five of the last six games across all competitions, maintaining the position he regularly held last season.
Analysis: Robertson lost his starting place at the beginning of the season following the arrival of Milos Kerkez, but the latter's recent form allowed him to retain his spot over the last three games, during which he created two chances, attempted one shot, and completed seven crosses while remaining off corner duties. However, he was substituted after just 56 minutes in the heavy 3-0 loss against Manchester City, and it remains to be seen whether he will still keep his spot in the upcoming games.
Assists for equalizer
Robertson assisted once to go with five crosses (zero accurate) and one chance created in Wednesday's 5-1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt.
Analysis: Robertson set up Hugo Ekitike for the equalizer during the first half of Wednesday's win. The left-back doesn't have the pace to bomb forward like he once did, but he's a more measured presence than the young Milos Kerkez. Robertson could be in for a larger role in the coming weeks with Liverpool turning around a run of poor form.
Scores early
Robertson scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) and two crosses (zero accurate) in Wednesday's 3-2 win versus Atletico Madrid.
Analysis: Robertson scored the opening goal Wednesday, though in all reality he didn't know much about it. A hard, low shot from Mohamed Salah bounced off Robertson and wrong-footed Jan Oblak. The goal counts all the same, as does the start and 86 minutes played for Robertson. It appears he will rotate with Milos Kerkez consistently across all competitions, though Kerkez seems to be the starting left-back in the Premier League.
Reserve appearance with greatness
Robertson logged eight crosses (three accurate), five chances created, one shot (one on goal) and one corner during Liverpool's 1-0 win Sunday at Burnley.
Analysis: During the Liverpool-Burnley game's 38th minute, Robertson replaced Milos Kerkez, on a yellow card. Despite the former's sub-hour, none of his other teammates logged at least five chances created and three accurate crosses. Though the Reds' future games may include more Kerkez, a utilized Robertson is still occasionally promising. The question becomes how much he plays, especially considering his fellow left-back's statistical volatility.
Starts first game of campaign
Robertson started for Scotland in Monday's 2-0 victory against Belarus, making his first start of the season and confirming he is fully fit.
Analysis: Robertson captained his country against Belarus on Monday, playing the full match and showing he is fully fit for Liverpool. The vice-captain has seen limited playing time in the Premier League this season, featuring for only 31 minutes in the opener against Bournemouth since he is the second-choice left-back after the arrival of Milos Kerkez from the Cherries over the summer. That said, Robertson will be ready and fit whenever coach Arne Slot needs him to start in the backline.
