Set to undergo surgery
Vicario will undergo surgery during the international break due to a hernia and will be out for multiple weeks following the procedure, the club announced Friday.
Analysis: Vicario will be available to face Nottingham Forest on Sunday and will undergo the surgery later, as the procedure has been aligned with the Spurs' three-week break in their schedule. Their next match after the Forest contest is scheduled for April 12, and the Spurs are hoping to have Vicario back in the mix at some point in April. If Vicario is forced to miss time, look for Antonin Kinsky to start in his place, with Brandon Austin being the backup.
Concedes twice Wednesday
Vicario made five saves and allowed two goals in Wednesday's 3-2 win versus Atletico Madrid. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 58th minute.
Analysis: While Spurs' attack did just enough to have a chance at a massive second-leg comeback, Vicario and the defense did not. He faced seven shots on target and made five saves for the third time in the Champions League this season, but the two goals he conceded made the comeback basically impossible. Spurs actually outscored Atletico 5-4 while Vicario was in between the sticks, but the early 3-0 hole they fell into in the first leg with backup keeper Antonin Kinsky was too much to overcome. Vicario made 10 appearances (nine starts) in the UCL this season and kept six clean sheets, conceded 11 goals and made 30 saves. He will now focus on the relegation battle for the remainder of the season.
Three saves for point
Vicario recorded three saves and allowed one goal in Sunday's 1-1 draw against Liverpool.
Analysis: Vicario stopped three of the four shots he faced Sunday and earned a one-all draw with Liverpool. The goalkeeper wasn't overly tested, but he did decently after allowing an early goal. He now will look to build off this against Atleti in a mid-week champions League clash that was largely decided in the first leg.
Subbed on after backup crumbles
Vicario had three saves and allowed two goals in Tuesday's 5-2 defeat versus Atletico Madrid.
Analysis: Vicario was left out of the starting XI in Spurs' biggest match of the season so far, replaced by Antonin Kinsky who had not started any Premier League or Champions League match this season. That bold move did not work out for Spurs as Kinsky conceded three goals in the first 15 minutes of the match, two of which came directly off his own errors. With Kinsky's confidence clearly gone, Vicario replaced him in the 17th minute and played the rest of the match. He conceded a goal just five minutes later -- one that he nearly saved -- and then another in the 55th minute on a one-on-one fastbreak, but ultimately, he provided some stability for a rattled Spurs side. The decision to start Kinsky in this high-stakes match was certainly surprising, but it did not come out of nowhere. Vicario has been in terrible form, conceding multiple goals in each of his last nine Premier League matches. After this performance Kinsky may not get another chance this season though, so Vicario's job could be safe unless No. 3 keeper Brandon Austin is given a chance.
Struggles versus Crystal Palace
Vicario had one save and allowed three goals in Thursday's 3-1 defeat against Crystal Palace.
Analysis: Vicario conceded three goals Thursday, all of which came between Micky van de Ven's red card in the 38th minute and the halftime whistle. It marked his ninth consecutive match conceding multiple goals and his fifth match this season conceding at least three. The keeper has been in awful form and just as one of his center backs (Cristian Romero) is returning from suspension, the other (van de Ven) will miss at least the next match. His remaining four matches in March could not have bigger stakes -- two legs versus Atletico Madrid in the Champions League Round of 16, a road trip to Liverpool on March 15 and then a critical match in the relegation battle versus Nottingham Forest on March 22.
Concedes twice in loss
Vicario registered two saves and allowed two goals in Sunday's 2-1 defeat versus Fulham.
Analysis: Vicario conceded multiple times again Sunday, his eighth consecutive Premier League start conceding multiple goals. It's been an awful run for him and the Spurs defense, and the club now sits just four points above relegation with 10 matches to go. He faces a favorable matchup Thursday versus Crystal Palace, a side which has scored 30 goals through 28 matches this season.
Concedes four to Arsenal
Vicario registered two saves and allowed four goals in Sunday's 4-1 defeat against Arsenal.
Analysis: Vicario's rough run of form continued Sunday as he conceded four goals for the second time this season, both of which have come against arch-rival Arsenal. He has now conceded multiple goals in seven consecutive Premier League matches, a major reason why Spurs are in a legitimate relegation battle. He will look to finally break out of this slump Sunday at Fulham, a side which has scored 38 goals through 27 matches this season.
Concedes twice again Tuesday
Vicario registered three saves and allowed two goals in Tuesday's 2-1 loss versus Newcastle United.
Analysis: Vicario conceded two goals in Tuesday's loss, his sixth consecutive Premier League contest conceding multiple goals. This poor run of form has resulted in the sacking of manager Thomas Frank, so Vicario and the rest of the club will be under new leadership for the remainder of the campaign. He has a long break before taking on archrival Arsenal next Sunday, a side which has scored 49 goals through 25 matches this season and currently sits atop the league table.
Concedes twice in Saturday's loss
Vicario registered eight saves and allowed two goals in Saturday's 2-0 defeat versus Manchester United.
Analysis: Vicario was under attack during Saturday's tilt as he faced a season-high 10 shots on target in the loss. He played fairly well considering the circumstances, but he still conceded two goals to the Red Devils. He's now conceded multiple goals in five straight Premier League matches, a funk that he and Spurs desperately need to break out of. Up next is Newcastle United on Tuesday, a side which has scored 35 goals through 25 matches this season.
Rough PL form continues Sunday
Vicario had one save and allowed two goals in Sunday's 2-2 draw versus Manchester City.
Analysis: Vicario conceded two goals Sunday, both of which came in the first half and gave Spurs a big hole to dig out of. It marked his fourth consecutive Premier League match where he conceded multiple goals. His performances in the Premier League compared to the Champions League have been night and day, and unfortunately for him he faces a very difficult stretch of domestic fixtures before he returns to Europe. He heads to red-hot Manchester United on Saturday, a side which has scored 44 goals through 24 matches this season.
Keeps clean sheet Wednesday
Vicario registered one save and secured a clean sheet in Wednesday's 2-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 74th minute.
Analysis: Vicario kept his third consecutive clean sheet in the Champions League Wednesday, resulting in Spurs finishing fourth in the group stage and earning an automatic bid into the Round of 16. Vicario had an excellent group stage with six clean sheets, 22 saves and seven goals allowed (five of which came versus PSG) across eight starts. He will now focus on improving his form in the Premier League before he returns to the UCL in March.
Concedes twice in draw
Vicario made two saves and allowed two goals in Saturday's 2-2 draw against Burnley.
Analysis: Vicario's rough run of form in the Premier League continued Saturday as he conceded two goals to relegation-battling Burnley. If not for late heroics by Cristian Romero, this performance would have come in a loss. It marked his 11th Premier League outing this season where he conceded multiple goals, including his third in a row. After a midweek Champions League tilt at Frankfurt, he has a very difficult matchup Sunday versus Manchester City, a side which has scored a league-high 47 goals through 23 matches this season.
Keeps clean sheet Tuesday
Vicario recorded one save and secured a clean sheet in Tuesday's 2-0 victory against Borussia Dortmund.
Analysis: Vicario had a rare easy match Tuesday as he kept his fifth clean sheet across seven Champions League starts this season. He only faced one shot on target, thanks in large part to Daniel Svensson's red card in the 26th minute. Next up in the Champions League is a trip to Eintracht Frankfurt next Wednesday, a side which has scored eight goals through six UCL matches this season. If Vicario and Spurs pull out a win in that final group stage match, the club will automatically qualify for the Round of 16.
Concedes twice in Saturday's loss
Vicario registered two saves and allowed two goals in Saturday's 2-1 loss versus West Ham United.
Analysis: Vicario's poor run of form continued Saturday in the tough loss to relegation-battling West Ham. He conceded two goals, including the late winner scored by Callum Wilson in the 93rd minute. He's now conceded multiple goals in 10 Premier League matches this season, proving himself to be one of the most inconsistent keepers in the league. Following a midweek Champions League battle with Dortmund, he heads to Burnley on Saturday, a side which has scored 23 goals through 22 matches this season.
Concedes three in loss
Vicario had no saves and allowed three goals in Wednesday's 3-2 loss against AFC Bournemouth.
Analysis: Vicario had a tough outing Wednesday as he conceded three goals and made zero saves in the loss. It marked his fourth time this season he conceded three or more goals, all of which have come on the road. Next up for him is a tough FA Cup match versus Aston Villa on Saturday.
Concedes once in draw
Vicario registered two saves and allowed one goal in Sunday's 1-1 draw versus Sunderland.
Analysis: Vicario was well on his way to his third straight clean sheet Sunday, but Brian Brobbey ended those hopes in the 80th minute with a powerful equalizer. The Spurs defense continued its improved form as Vicario only made two saves in his fourth consecutive match. He faces a more difficult matchup Wednesday at Bournemouth, a side which has scored 31 goals through 20 matches this season.
Keeps clean sheet Thursday
Vicario had two saves and secured a clean sheet in Thursday's 0-0 draw versus Brentford. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 69th minute.
Analysis: Vicario started off 2026 the same way he ended 2025, keeping a clean sheet on the road while making two saves. It marked his seventh clean sheet of the season, already matching his career high for a domestic campaign. Next up he faces Sunderland on Sunday, a side which has scored 20 goals through 19 matches this season.
Keeps clean sheet Sunday
Vicario recorded two saves and secured a clean sheet in Sunday's 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.
Analysis: After back-to-back disappointing outings, Vicario bounced back Sunday with a clean sheet on the road. His defense played well, only allowing two shots on target throughout the 90 minutes, allowing Vicario to keep his sixth Premier League clean sheet of the campaign. He faces a slightly more difficult matchup Thursday at Brentford, a side which has scored 28 goals through 18 matches this season.
Two saves in loss
Vicario registered two saves and allowed two goals in Saturday's 2-1 loss to Liverpool.
Analysis: Vicario stopped two of the four shots he faced during Saturday's loss. It was always going to be a very difficult match for Vicario once Xavi Simons was shown a straight red card as Liverpool dominated the ball the rest of the way. Unfortunately Vicario couldn't quite do enough to salvage a point, even if he made some excellent stops while under siege for the second half.
Concedes three in loss
Vicario had three saves and allowed three goals in Sunday's 3-0 loss versus Nottingham Forest.
Analysis: Vicario's up and down season continued Sunday, this time crashing back down to earth. After securing back-to-back clean sheets in the Premier League and Champions League, Vicario conceded three goals to relegation-battling Nottingham Forest. It's the second-most goals he's conceded in a PL match this season and it marked the seventh time this season he conceded multiple goals. He faces a difficult matchup Saturday versus Liverpool, a side which has scored 26 goals through 16 matches this season.
