Kalimuendo played the second half of Wednesday's Carabao Cup loss to Swansea.
Analysis: Kalimuendo got another bit of action, coming off the bench again, this time playing 45 minutes. The forward has been a bench option so far in his time with Nottingham Forest, appearing in the last three Premier League matches. He's a talented striker, but seems to be behind Chris Wood and Igor Jesus in the pecking order of a crowded attack.
Signs with Nottingham Forest
Kalimuendo has signed a five-year deal with Nottingham Forest, joining on a permanent move from Stade Rennais, his new club announced. "It's been a busy few days for us - the culmination of a lot of hard work from our staff over a number of weeks. Arnaud is someone whose progress we've followed closely across PSG, Lens, and Rennes, and we're delighted that the next step in his journey will be here in Nottingham. He's arriving with real excitement and big energy, and we look forward to seeing that on the pitch," said Chief Football Officer, Ross Wilson.
Analysis: Kalimuendo scored 18 goals and provided four assists in 34 Ligue 1 appearances for Rennes in the 2024/25 season. He previously netted 21 times in 65 appearances during two loan spells with Lens. Since joining Rennes in 2022, he has played over 100 matches and scored 40 goals, including appearances in the Europa League. Kalimuendo will now discover the Premier League as a good addition in the frontline under coach Nuno Espirito Santo, with the ability to play as a centre-forward while also stretching defenders and operating out wide.
