Steele has extended his contract with Brighton, according to his club.
Analysis: Steele is going to remain with Brighton moving forward for the next few seasons, inking an extension with the Seagulls until the end of the 2026/27 season. He has yet to appear this season, serving as the club's backup. That said, he should remain in a backup role moving forward, a depth option for the veteran keeper.
Brilliant in Carabao Cup
Steele got the start during Wednesday's 6-0 win over Oxford United.
Analysis: Steele seemed to have an easy clean sheet based off the score and the opposition, but in reality he was brilliant Wednesday. He made 10 saves and earned a clean sheet with a heroic showing. He's firmly stuck behind Bart Verbruggen in the pecking order, but Steele remains one of the most competent back ups in the Premier League.
