Balanced Full Back
Nets in loss
Kerkez scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) and one cross (zero accurate) in Saturday's 2-1 loss versus Brighton.
Analysis: Kerkez got on the scoresheet during Saturday's loss, but it was still another forgettable day. The left-back has been inconsistent since joining Liverpool, but he does have the expected attacking upside. Kerkez will hope he can build on this goal as Liverpool turn their focus almost exclusively to the Champions League to close out the campaign.
Quiet in loss
Kerkez registered three clearances and one interception in Tuesday's 1-0 defeat versus Galatasaray. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 33rd minute.
Analysis: Kerkez was limited going forward throughout Tuesday's clash, and most of his volume came defensively. It was a day to forget for the most part, as the left-back just couldn't get involved in the attack. It's been a frustrating season for Kerkez and co. as they look to get back to their best.
Assists Saturday
Kerkez assisted once to go with zero corners and two chances created in Saturday's 4-1 victory against Newcastle United.
Analysis: Kerkez set up another goal during Saturday's clash. The left-back didn't hit the ground running perfectly with Liverpool, but now that he's back at his best he is a consistent threat down the left side of the pitch. If Kerkez can keep this up he should be a solid attacking full-back in all matches moving forward.
Starting again
Kerkez had three crosses (zero accurate) and one tackle in Sunday's 2-2 draw versus Fulham.
Analysis: Kerkez got the start over Andy Robertson Sunday, and put together a fine showing, though it was nothing special. The left-back was largely wasteful when he had the chance to cross the ball and failed to cause too many issues down the flank. He will likely continue to rotate with Robertson throughout the busiest parts of the Premier League schedule.
Nets rare goal
Kerkez scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) and two crosses (one accurate) in Saturday's 3-2 defeat versus Brentford. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 33rd minute.
Analysis: Kerkez found the back of the net with a nice finish during first half stoppage time. The left-back is off to a mixed start to his time on Merseyside and is still getting into the team. He had a nice finish on a practically empty net during Saturday's loss. The left-back will have more upside the more he can gel with the Liverpool starting XI.
Eight crosses in home loss
Kerkez generated eight crosses (one accurate) and one chance created in Sunday's 2-1 defeat versus Manchester United.
Analysis: Kerkez attempted eight crosses in the home loss to Manchester United. This is the most crosses he has attempted in the game, and the full back is still waiting to complete more than one cross in the match. He is yet to provide a goal involvement, having provided five assists last season at Bournemouth.
Quiet in loss
Kerkez generated one shot (zero on goal), four crosses (zero accurate) and one chance created in Saturday's 2-1 loss against Crystal Palace.
Analysis: Kerkez created a chance and sent in four crosses Saturday but failed to really put his mark on the match. He's been good since making the switch to Liverpool, but has occasionally struggled with consistency. Kerkez has taken over as the starting left-back, but still rotates with Andrew Robertson. Kerkez should continue as a big part of the starting XI as Liverpool finish a busy run to the international break.
Four crosses and early sub
Kerkez logged four crosses (one accurate), one shot (zero on goal) and one chance created during Liverpool's 1-0 win Sunday at Burnley. He was subbed off in the 38th minute.
Analysis: Kerkez updated his season's high in crosses. For the Liverpool team, Kerkez's accurate cross is also his first. But during the Liverpool-Burnley game's 22nd minute, he logged a yellow card. It is why Andrew Robertson replaced Kerkez before the latter could record 40 minutes, according to Liverpool's official website. Still finding his legs with Liverpool, he will attempt to redeem himself during September's second half.
Still finding legs with Liverpool
Kerkez has started in all three games this season while recording six tackles and 16 clearances.
Analysis: Kerkez has started his life in Liverpool with three starts and three wins, securing a clean sheet in one of those games. However, he has been unable to get much going in the attack from his left-back spot like he would with Bournemouth, with only four crosses in three games. He should remain in this role as he has held decently in the defense, although the club will look to see more from their new signing soon.
