This marks his first goal since returning from AFCON three games ago, with his last goal being Nov. 29 against Burnley. He is up to four goals this season in 18 appearances (13 starts).

The attacking midfielder has been an undisputed starter for the Bees and will claim back that role once back available with the squad.
Departing for AFCON
Ouattara is departing Brentford to participate in AFCON with Burkina Faso.
Analysis: Ouattara is putting his time with Brentford on pause while he goes to AFCON for at least three weeks. The forward has been a consistent starter for each of the last three months, and will be a major blow to the starting XI, especially with Reiss Nelson (undisclosed) struggling for fitness.

Nets Saturday
Ouattara scored one goal to go with five shots (one on goal), four crosses (zero accurate) and one corner in Saturday's 3-2 win versus Liverpool.
Analysis: Ouattara found the back of the net early during Saturday's win. The winger found room on the break and slotted a nice finish. The winger has found his footing with Brentford and is becoming a productive part of the team. There's still some doubt around Ouattara's upside in a Brentford team that has limited attacking output. Ouattara does have the pace and talent to finish when given chances on the break.
