Loaned to Leeds United
Buonanotte has joined Leeds United on loan from Brighton for the remainder of the season, according to his new club.
Analysis: Buonanotte is going to remain in the Premier League but is away from Brighton for the rest of the season, joining Leeds. This comes after he ended his loan with Chelsea for the first half of the season, appearing eight times for the club but mainly in cup play, with only one league appearance all season. He does show decent promise after seven goal contributions in 31 appearances (14 starts) in the 2024/25 season with Leicester City, potentially a solid addition on the flanks for Leeds.
Assists in Carabao Cup
Buonanotte provided one assist and played 65 minutes during Tuesday's Carabao Cup clash with Cardiff City.
Analysis: Buonanotte got a rare start as he's largely been out of favor, and provided an assist. The attacking midfielder looked threatening throughout the match and set up Alejandro Garnacho for the opening goal. Buonanotte still seems unlikely to play any sort of significant role in the Premier League, with most of his time coming in cup competitions.
Option again
Buonanotte is an option again after being loan-locked for Saturday's 3-1 loss to Brighton.
Analysis: Buonanotte was out last match due to his loan situation from Brighton, but is back in the fold now. The attacker has only appeared once all season, starting for 45 minutes of play, and will likely continue in a rotational role. That said, he will likely earn a bench role moving forward, although he has only been on the team sheet twice all season.
Loan locked against Brighton
Buonanotte will not be available for Saturday's clash against Brighton since he is loan locked for that game.
Analysis: Buonanotte has been loaned to Chelsea by Brighton and both teams are facing each other on Saturday. The attacking midfielder won't be an option for the Blues since he is loan-locked by his parent club for that game. That said, Buonanotte appears to be only a bench option for Chelsea, so his absence won't impact the starting XI.
Added to UCL squad
Buonanotte was added to the Chelsea Champions League squad, according to the club.
Analysis: Buonanotte has been added to the Chelsea Champions League squad in place of Dario Essugo who misses out due to a thigh injury. The attacking midfielder will therefore have the chance to play in the Champions League after getting his first start with the Blues on Saturday against Brentford, contributing to two chances created and one tackle before being subbed off at halftime.
Joins Chelsea on loan
Buonanotte has been loaned to Chelsea from Brighton, according to his parent club.
Analysis: Buonanotte is heading out on loan this season after a week-long talk about his future with the club, as Chelsea completes a loan move after inquiring about the player. The attacker, who started in 14 of his 31 appearances while with Leicester on loan last season, will now have the opportunity to play in the UCL, although he will have to work up the roster. That said, the club has tons of talent in the attack, especially after the signing of Alejandro Garnacho, with Buonanotte likely set for more of a rotational role.
