Back after U20 World Cup
Gonzalez returned to Wolverhampton after representing Paraguay in the U20 World Cup.
Analysis: Gonzalez scored a goal against Panama and was sent off against South Korea in the tournament, and he already returned to Molineux after Paraguay's tournament run ended in the knockout stages. Gonzalez is expected to leave the club on loan during the January transfer window and isn't expected to see regular minutes with the Wolves any time soon.
Fully recovered from injury
Gonzalez fully recovered from his ACL injury since he played friendly games with the U20 Paraguay team and is in the squad to participate in the U20 World Cup in Chile.
Analysis: Gonzalez is fully fit and recovered from his ACL injury suffered at the Olympics in 2024, as the attacking midfielder has featured for the U20 Paraguay team in friendlies to prepare for the U20 World Cup in Chile starting in a few days. This is good news for the Wolves player, although his availability might suggest that he is not yet prepared or in the plans of coach Vitor Pereira to be part of the depth squad of Wolverhampton this season.
