Analysis: Souza made his debut for Spurs Saturday as he subbed onto the pitch in the 55th minute for the injury Destiny Udogie (hamstring). He created one chance and made two clearances in his 35 minutes off the bench, a decent return in his first match in a Spurs' shirt. With Udogie doubtful for Tuesday's match versus Newcastle, there's a good chance Souza will be in the starting XI for that contest.

Souza has completed a move to Tottenham Hotspur from Brazilian side Santos, his new club announced Thursday.
Analysis: Souza is coming off starting a promising career as a left-back in his home country, quickly sparking interest in Europe to sign a long-term contract with the Spurs. The 19-year-old scored one goal and provided two assists over 24 appearances (19 starts) in the 2025 Brasilerao season. He also made 12 international appearances at the Under-17 level in 2023. He'll continue to develop his skills, hoping to be an option for the Premier League side in the future.
