Three shots Sunday
Ngumoha generated three shots (one on goal) and two crosses (zero accurate) in Sunday's 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur.
Analysis: Ngumoha made a rare Premier League start and looked dangerous throughout Sunday's clash. He took three shots and was a menace off the wing, causing issues with his pace and dribbling. He has struggled to earn big minutes this season, but in his limited action, Ngumoha has been a promising young winger, even if he lacks some end product.
Dealing with cramps
Ngumoha was forced off in Monday's FA Cup victory against Barnsley due to cramps as he is still building his fitness for senior soccer, coach Arne Slot said in a press conference. "I assume and think and expect it's cramp, so it tells you - it tells Rio - that I expect that a Premier League game is more intense than this one. It's very nice for him to again make 70 minutes, but that it's still very hard work to be ready for 90 in the Premier League. But that's completely normal for a 17-year-old, make no mistake about that. It's already great for him and for Liverpool and for everybody following us that a 17-year-old makes so many minutes in a Liverpool shirt. So, let's hope he can continue and we can bring him further and further towards 90 minutes at Premier League level."
Analysis: Ngumoha created two chances to go with one shot and logged 73 minutes in Monday's victory against Barnsley in the FA Cup. The 17-year-old is still building his fitness as a professional soccer player and was forced off with cramps, as it was his first start of the season as well as his match with the most minutes played. Ngumoha should be an option moving forward, likely in a bench role for the reds.
Leaves with injury Monday
Ngumoha picked up an undisclosed issue during Monday's FA Cup meeting with Barnsley.
Analysis: Ngumoha got hurt during the second half of a rare first-team start, with Ryan Gravenberch taking his place after his exit. While the extent of the youngster's injury remains unknown, he's unlikely to play a lot of minutes in the most important fixtures, with his potential loss mainly affecting the team's attacking depth.
Signs pro contract with Liverpool
Ngumoha has signed a professional contract with Liverpool on Thursday.
Analysis: Ngumoha grabbed headlines when he netted a 100th-minute winner in a 3-2 victory at Newcastle United in August during his EPL debut. The winger isn't expected to play a huge role on offense despite having elite potential, but he's expected to be brought along slowly by the coaching staff.
Scores heroic winner
Ngumoha scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) and one cross (zero accurate) in Monday's 3-2 victory versus Newcastle United.
Analysis: Ngumoha came off the bench for the final minutes of Monday's clash and had a dream showing, scoring a dramatic winner smoothly into the side netting. It was a brilliant display from one of the brightest young players in England. Ngumoha set the record as the youngest goalscorer in Liverpool's history, and showed why the club has made it apparent he's already part of the first team.
