Four shots, no goal
Salah recorded four shots (two on target) and two crosses in Saturday's 4-0 loss to Manchester City.
Analysis: Salah would see a decent four shots Saturday but could do little to help his squad, with only two shots on target and neither finding the back of the net. He did see two goal contributions in his last outing and will hope to return to that form for UCL play against PSG, recording five goal contributions in UCL play this season.
Fit and available Saturday
Salah (hamstring) is fully fit and available for Saturday's FA Cup quarter-final against Manchester City, according to coach Arne Slot. "He is [fit]. He trained with us yesterday, he will train with us today and is available for the game tomorrow."
Analysis: Salah had been a concern heading into the weekend after some injury worries during the international break, but coach Arne Slot's confirmation puts any doubt to rest. The Egyptian trained in recent days and will likely slot straight back into the starting lineup for one of the biggest domestic cup fixtures of Liverpool's season, which is exactly the kind of news the Anfield needed. With this being Salah's final campaign at the club, every appearance feels significant, and having him firing on all cylinders for the FA Cup run is a massive boost for the Reds.
Still eyeing City game for return
Salah (hamstring) is set to train on Thursday again and is eyeing a return to play against Manchester City on Saturday, according to manager Arne Slot. "Close, very close. He just does so much for his body for such a long time that he recovers so fast. So, he will train with the team again tomorrow, and if everything works wel,l then he's available to be with us at City."
Analysis: Salah is still eyeing a return to action this week after some injury worries, with the forward back in training and set to continue training up to Saturday's outing. That said, if all is well, the forward should then be deemed fit to face City, a major addition back to the squad. He should almost immediately return to a starting role on the flank as he continues as one of the best attackers in the league, especially with the club legends' reign of terror over the league coming to an end at the conclusion of the campaign.
Expected back for FA Cup
Salah (hamstring) is aiming to return to action in Saturday's FA Cup quarter-final matchup versus Manchester City, Andy Hunter of The Guardian reported Monday.
Analysis: Salah should be fit enough to play in the final games of the season following the announcement that he'll depart Liverpool at the end of the 2025/26 campaign. The attacker could compete for starts with Cody Gakpo and Jeremie Frimpong on the right wing. After scoring five goals and five assists over his last 14 games played across all competitions, the Egyptian will likely be one of the team's top offensive threats whenever he's on the field.
Leaving Liverpool at end of season
Salah will put an end to his time in Liverpool after the conclusion of the 2025/26 campaign, the team announced Tuesday.
Analysis: Salah has reached an agreement to depart the Reds after spending the last nine years with the club. The 33-year-old attacker has been outstanding throughout that stint, scoring 244 goals and 115 assists across 404 appearances in both domestic and European competitions. He should still have a few chances to increase those counts, although he's currently dealing with a muscular injury and is questionable for upcoming contests.
Won't be available Saturday
Salah (undisclosed) won't be an option for Saturday's clash against Brighton and won't join the Egypt national team due to injury, according to coach Arne Slot. "Indeed, [it's] unusual. As a result of that I think you can expect the outcome. So, [he's] not available for tomorrow. The good thing for Liverpool and for us is that we go to an international break. The bad thing for Egypt is that he can't go there. We are hoping also with what Mo has shown in the past that he can recover faster than other players might in similar situations because he takes such good care of his body. History has shown that he can be earlier back than some others. But it's only two weeks when we go again so let's hope in that period of time he can be back."
Analysis: Salah was forced off in Wednesday's Champions League win over Galatasaray with an undisclosed injury and has been ruled out for Saturday's matchup against Brighton. The winger will also skip Egypt's upcoming international break to focus on recovery, with a return targeted for early April. That's a tough hit for the Reds, as their locked-in starter on the right wing was coming off arguably his best performance of the season, and his spot in the starting XI will now need to be filled, with Dominik Szoboszlai expected to slide over to the right flank in his absence.
Forced off after brillant outing
Salah scored one goal and added an assist in Wednesday's 4-0 win over Galatasaray before asking to be subbed off due to an issue, according to coach Arne Slot. "Injury-wise, he was asking for a substitution, not because he thought he had scored enough but that he felt something, so let's see where he is for the weekend and afterwards."
Analysis: Salah missed a penalty but still delivered a brilliant all-around performance in Wednesday's Champions League win over the Lions, finishing with one goal and one assist as Liverpool punched their ticket to the next round. That said, his night took a concerning turn when he asked to come off in the 74th minute due to an issue, putting his availability for the upcoming fixtures in doubt. If he ends up missing time, Dominik Szoboszlai is likely next in line to step in on the right wing.
Scores, assists in win
Salah scored one goal and assisted once from seven shots and two chances created in Wednesday's 4-0 victory versus Galatasaray.
Analysis: Salah missed a penalty and still added a goal and assist during Wednesday's rout. The winger was brilliant throughout the match and caused issues for the backline right from the start. Salah has been in mixed form this season, but at his best he's a dangerous goalscoring threat with plenty of creativity as well.
Nets in loss
Salah scored one goal to go with two shots (one on goal), 11 crosses (two accurate) and eight corners in Tuesday's 2-1 defeat to Wolverhampton.
Analysis: Salah got back on the scoresheet during Tuesday's clash, but it was a disappointment as he was still left with the loss. It was a tough match for Liverpool on the whole, despite the poor opposition, and Salah wasn't able to earn more than a late consolation goal.
Assists in win
Salah assisted once to go with four shots (zero on goal), eight crosses (one accurate) and seven corners in Wednesday's 1-0 victory versus Sunderland.
Analysis: Salah set up Virgil van Dijk for the only goal Wednesday, making the most of his role on corners once again. It was a nice set-piece goal for Salah and Liverpool, but he was largely dreadful from open play. His usually lethal eye for goal has been lacking this year, and he failed to put any of his four shots on target.
Off the mark in Sunday's loss
Salah had five shots (zero on goal), five crosses (zero accurate) and two corners in Sunday's 2-1 defeat to Manchester City.
Analysis: Salah took five shots Sunday, his most since Oct. 25, but he failed to put a single one on target. He also recorded five crosses but failed to record an accurate cross for the first time since Nov. 22. It was a disappointing outing for him despite his high volume of attacking chances, but he may have been due for a dud after a strong run of form coming into Sunday's contest. He'll look to bounce back Wednesday at Sunderland.
Assists in win
Salah assisted once to go with two shots (zero on goal), six crosses (two accurate) and three corners in Saturday's 4-1 win versus Newcastle United.
Analysis: Salah was among the goals once more, tallying on another assist during Saturday's win. Salah has been mixed this season, but he seems to be efficient and deadly like normal now. If he can stay at his best it would go a long way towards keeping Liverpool in the hunt for the Champions League during the back half of the campaign.
Back among goals
Salah scored one goal to go with four shots (one on goal), six crosses (three accurate) and five corners in Wednesday's 6-0 win versus Qarabag.
Analysis: Salah is back from AFCON and was back among the goals during Wednesday's rout. He scored and took four shots on top of that, as well as splitting a role on corners. It's been a difficult season by his own lofty standards, but Salah has the potential to take over any match when given the chance. If he can get hot he would be one of the top contributors in the Premier League.
Assists on Saturday
Salah assisted once to go with three shots (two on goal), eight crosses (one accurate) and five corners in Saturday's 3-2 defeat against AFC Bournemouth.
Analysis: Salah registered the most crosses in the game and also touched on Dominik Szoboszlai's equalizer in the 80th minute. Salah created two chances and also made two clearances. His league form this season has tremendously dropped off and his lack of productivity is clearly visible.
Traveling with Liverpool
Salah (international duty) is back in Liverpool and in the traveling squad for Wednesday's match against Marseille following AFCON.
Analysis: Salah was already spotted back in Liverpool, and his option for Wednesday's match is now confirmed, as the forward is on the squad list. The Egyptian should waste no time getting back into a starting role despite a few disputes ahead of his leave for AFCON, recording one goal and an assist in his five UCL appearances (three starts) this season. Even if he is limited to begin, this should be a major return as they look to turn their midseason slide around.
Spotted back in Liverpool
Salah was spotted back in team training with Liverpool following the end of his international duty with Egypt at the AFCON, according to Liverpool FC News.
Analysis: Salah is already back in team training with the Reds after ending his international duty with Egypt at the AFCON. The star is likely to be available again for Wednesday's Champions League clash against Marseille, but it remains unclear what role he will hold in the coming weeks after the December drama that saw the Liverpool legend used as a bench option in four of his last five available games, one of which he missed due to a club ban.
Assists from corner
Salah assisted once to go with three shots (one on goal), one cross (one accurate) and one corner in Saturday's 2-0 win versus Brighton.
Analysis: Salah started Saturday's clash on the bench but came on to replace the injured Joe Gomez. Salah took only one corner, but it was an excellent one that found Hugo Ekitike for a free header at the back post. Salah's future with Liverpool is still uncertain as he joins Egypt for AFCON, meaning Liverpool will be forced to rely on Dominik Szoboszlai at right wing for the coming matches, likely until early Jan.
Option from bench
Salah (Not Injury Related) is on the bench for Saturday's clash against Brighton.
Analysis: Salah held talks Friday with manager Arne Slot regarding his standing within the squad, and the issue now appears settled. However, he starts Saturday's match against Brighton on the bench before leaving to join Egypt for AFCON, where he will miss approximately a month of action. His role upon returning remains uncertain, but relations between Salah and Slot seem improved compared to last week.
Recalled to squad
Salah is set to be included in the squad for Saturday's match against Brighton, according to James Pearce of The Athletic.
Analysis: Salah had a discussion Friday with manager Arne Slot about his spot in the squad, and they apparently have resolved the issue. Of course, that doesn't mean he'll be in the XI against Brighton and following that, he'll head to AFCON to play with Egypt and miss about a month of games. Following AFCON, his spot in the team will again have to be decided, but for now, it at least seems like Slot and Salah are on better terms than a week ago.
Could be available Saturday
Salah (Not Injury Related) is expected to have a private conversation with coach Arne Slot on Friday and the outcome will determine if he will be available for Saturday's clash against Brighton, coach Arne Slot said in the press conference. "I will have a conversation with Mo this morning and the outcome of that conversation determines how it will look tomorrow. What I need is a conversation with him and I think the next time I speak about Mo should be with him and not in here. You can keep on trying but there is not much more to say about it [other than] that I speak to him today and, like I said, the outcome of that conversation determines how things will look tomorrow."
Analysis: Salah missed the last game against Atalanta in the Champions League after he was left out of the squad due to a recent interview that was not well received by the staff and club representatives. The Egyptian is set to hold a conversation with coach Arne Slot on Friday morning, and the outcome will determine whether he will be available for Saturday's clash against Brighton before joining his country for the AFCON.
