Ever-present for Palace
Mitchell has started every game for Crystal Palace in the current Premier League campaign.
Analysis: Mitchell not only racks up 30 starts for the Eagles, but he's gone the full 90 in all but three of those outings. He doesn't contribute much offensively, with only one goal and one assist to his name, but he's been putting in the work on the left side of the field. In 30 starts and 2,669 minutes of play, he has racked up 22 chances created, 85 crosses, 80 tackles and 81 clearances.
Assists the winner
Mitchell assisted once to go with one shot (one on goal), five crosses (one accurate) and one chance created in Sunday's 1-0 victory over Wolverhampton.
Analysis: Mitchell assisted Evann Guessand's winning goal, earning his first league assist after previously creating 19 chances in 26 appearances.. Across his previous five games, the left wing back has tallied four chances created and 17 crosses, with at least two crosses in each outing. Defensively, he has also recorded three interceptions, six clearances and 10 tackles, making at least one tackle in every contest.
Makes three tackles
Mitchell crossed four times (one accurate), created a chance and made three tackles (winning two) during Sunday's 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest.
Analysis: Mitchell was active on both sides of the ball finishing with the third most crosses on the team while leading Palace in tackles. The wing-back has combined for a shot, two chances created, 10 crosses and six tackles over his last three starts but hasn't had a goal involvement since September 20th.
Delivers Standout Performance
Mitchell had four tackles (three won), six clearances and two interceptions in Thursday's 1-1 draw versus Fulham.
Analysis: Mitchell delivered a solid two-way performance against Fulham on Thursday, contributing offensively with several forward runs that led to two key passes while also impressing defensively with four tackles, two interceptions and a season-high six clearances. The defender remains a nailed-on starter, having played all 19 Premier League matches this season, totaling 57 tackles, 19 interceptions and 58 clearances. However, despite his frequent attacking involvement, he has yet to score and has recorded just one assist this campaign.
Five crosses Sunday
Mitchell registered one shot (zero on goal), five crosses (one accurate) and one chance created in Sunday's 1-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur.
Analysis: Mitchell recorded five crosses in Sunday's loss, just the fourth time this season he's hit that mark. Coming off two straight very productive seasons, this campaign has been a little slower for Mitchell as he has just one goal contribution -- a goal at West Ham on Sept. 20 -- as the halfway mark of the season nears. He's made up for some of that on the defensive end though as he already has kept seven clean sheets this season, already matching last season's total. He has not been as involved on the attack this season, but that could change in the new year.
Steady as left wing-back
Mitchell has started in each of Crystal Palace's 11 matches this season.
Analysis: Mitchell has been one of the most consistent players for Palace this season since he's been a steady two-way presence for the Eagles. He only has one goal, but his crossing and defensive ability give him a decent floor in most formats. He's also a steady player in terms of minutes played -- he's been subbed off just once all season long.
Scores game-winning volley
Mitchell scored one goal to go with two shots (one on goal), four crosses (two accurate) and three chances created in Saturday's 2-1 victory versus West Ham United. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 40th minute.
Analysis: Mitchell cleanly struck a volley from close range Saturday to give Crystal Palace a lead they would not relinquish in their 2-1 victory over West Ham United. In addition to his attacking output, the long-serving Palace player tracked-back to contribute three tackle (two won), one interception and one clearance to the team's defensive effort. Mitchell has played every minute of Palace's first five league fixtures. The goal marked his first Premier League goal since the 2023/2024 season.
Five crosses in home draw
Mitchell recorded five crosses (one accurate) and two chances created in Sunday's 1-1 draw versus Nottingham Forest. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 54th minute.
Analysis: Mitchell continued his influential start to the season as he created two chances against Nottingham Forest. He attempted five crosses but was only successful with one. Across the two matches, he has also attempted eight tackles and made seven clearances.
