Not fully fit
Brooks isn't fully fit after returning from an ankle injury but till can help the team, coach Andoni Iraola said in a press conference, according to Alexander Smith of the Bournemouth Echo.
Analysis: Brooks logged three minutes off the bench in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Aston Villa after missing three matches with an ankle injury. Coach Andoni Iraola said the forward is not fully fit yet but he remains a usable option off the bench for the Cherries while he continues to build his match fitness. Once back to full fitness, Brooks will likely regain a starting role in the frontline.
Returns to bench
Brooks (ankle) is on the bench for Saturday's clash against Aston Villa.
Analysis: Brooks is named on the bench for Saturday's clash against the Villains after missing three matches with an ankle injury. He was assessed following the final training session and deemed fit enough to be included in the matchday squad. Brooks has been a regular starter this season for the Cherries and should see minutes off bench before resuming his role in upcoming fixtures.
Late fitness call against Villa
Brooks (ankle) will be a late fitness call for Saturday's clash against Aston Villa, coach Andoni Iraola said in the press conference, according to Alexander Smith from the Bournemouth Daily Echo.
Analysis: Brooks is closing in on a return after missing three matches with an ankle injury and will be a late decision for Saturday's clash against the Villains. The forward will be evaluated after the final training session ahead of kickoff, which will determine whether he is cleared to be part of the squad on Saturday. Brooks has been a regular starter this season for the Cherries and should regain a similar role once he is back to full fitness.
Unlikely against Wolves
Brooks (ankle) is close to make his return from injury but Saturday's clash against Wolves might come to close for him, coach Andoni Iraola said in the press conference, according to Alexander Smith from the Bournemouth Daily Echo.
Analysis: Brooks missed the last two games due to an ankle injury and could miss a third since Saturday's clash against Wolves might come too early for him. That said, he should likley be an option for next week's fixture against Aston Villa. Brooks has been a regular starter for the Cherries this season and with the recent departure of Antoine Semenyo, he is expected to play even more. Until he returns, Alex Jimenez and Ryan Christie are the likely options to get more playing time in the starting squad.
Still not available
Brooks (ankle) is still not an option for Saturday's clash against Liverpool, coach Andoni Iraola said in the press conference. "Brooks is not ready for this one."
Analysis: Brooks will miss a second game in a row due to an ankle injury he couldn't recover from in time for Saturday's clash against Liverpool. The forward is a regular starter in the frontline for the Cherries, therefore his absence will force a change in the starting XI. Alex Jimenez has played more forward at times this season and seems most likely to move to the right wing unless Ryan Christie is fit enough for the XI.
Not risked Monday
Brooks (ankle) is out for Monday's match against Brighton.
Analysis: Brooks is not with the team after suffering a twisted ankle, as the attacker will instead rest on the sidelines to be cautious. This opens a spot for Amine Adli to earn the start, as Brooks will look to use the week to recover and return against Liverpool on Saturday.
Dealing with twisted ankle
Brooks is a doubt for Monday's clash against Brighton due to a twisted ankle he suffered against Newcastle United in the FA Cup, coach Andoni Iraola said in the press conference. "From the last game, Brooksy finished having twisted his ankle. It's an ankle that has previously given him some problems. We will see if he is going to be available or not."
Analysis: Brooks will be assessed after the final training session ahead of Monday's clash against the Seagulls since he ended the FA Cup loss against Newcastle United with a twisted ankle. Brooks has been a regular starter for the Cherries recently, starting four of his last six appearances across all competitions, which will force a change in the starting squad if he had to miss the game, with Alex Jimenez as an option to play on the right wing like he previously done during the campaign.
Assists late winner Wednesday
Brooks assisted once to go with two shots (zero on goal) and one chance created in Wednesday's 3-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur.
Analysis: Brooks recorded his second assist of the season Wednesday and it came at the perfect time. He set up Antoine Semenyo's wonder strike in the 95th minute which earned Bournemouth its first Premier League win since Oct. 26. It was the only chance he created in the match and he added two off-target shots in his 26 minutes off the bench.
Scores vs Chelsea
Brooks scored one goal to go with four shots (three on goal), four crosses (two accurate) and one corner in Tuesday's 2-2 draw versus Chelsea.
Analysis: Brooks had himself a day Tuesday, scoring his first of the season while making a season high three shots on target and five key passes. He only had one assist prior to Tuesday, completing 19 key passes and completing 14 successful dribbles in 17 PL appearances (10 starts).
Six shots in tie
Brooks had six shots (zero on goal) and one chance created in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Burnley. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 74th minute.
Analysis: Brooks was heavily involved early in Saturday's clash against Burnley, first curling a left footed effort just wide after being picked out by Antoine Semenyo, then dragging another low shot narrowly past the near post following a clever Evanilson touch. He continued to appear in dangerous pockets, including a second half header over the bar from Marcos Senesi's far post cross, ending a solid performance in his first start in over a month while contributing a season high six shots to go with one chance created. Brooks is expected to see increased playing time in the coming weeks, with Tyler Adams (knee) sidelined for some time.
Available for return
Brooks is available to return after serving a one-match ban.
Analysis: Brooks picked up the suspension for yellow card accumulation and is now available to return. The midfielder should compete for minutes, though he's far from a lock in the starting XI. He has started just two of the last six matches.
Receives fifth yellow card
Brooks is suspended for one game due to yelow card accumulation.
Analysis: Brooks will hit the sidelines for one game after a yellow card in his last outing, with the midfielder now having five on the season. This will leave him suspended to face Everton on Tuesday, not a major loss as he is more of a rotational player. That said, he will be set for his return when facing Chelsea on Dec. 6.
Returns to bench
Brooks (hamstring) is an option off the bench for Sunday's clash with Nottingham Forest.
Analysis: Brooks is on the bench for Sunday's match after recovering from a hamstring injury. He's been training throughout the week and avoided any sort of set-backs. Brooks has been a frequent starter of late, but wasn't deemed fit enough for the start in his first match after missing out against Crystal Palace.
Hope to return Sunday
Brooks (hamstring) could be back available for Sunday's clash against Nottingham Forest, coach Andoni Iraola said in the press conference, according to Alexander Smith from the Bournemouth Daily Echo.
Analysis: Brooks has been training in the past two days after recovering from his hamstring injury and the coach hopes he could be back available for Sunday's clash against Forest. This is positive news for the Cherries since he is an undisputed starter in the midfield and would step in directly to the starting squad if deemed fit enough to play.
Suffers minor hamstring injury
Brooks will miss Saturday's clash against Crystal Palace due to a minor hamstring injury, coach Andoni Iraola said in the press conference. "We have had very bad news with Brooksy. He finished the game against Belgium with a small muscle injury. We did an MRI and there is an injury there. He will be out. It's not a big muscle injury but obviously, when you get an MRI there is something there. It's a small muscle injury in the hamstring. I hope the recovery is as fast as we can but definitely he is out of this game. Even if it's not a big muscle injury, there is something there."
Analysis: Brooks picked up a minor hamstring injury while representing his country in a World Cup qualifier against Belgium earlier this week. He won't be available for the Cherries on Saturday against Palace, and his absence will need to be covered, with Justin Kluivert or Amine Adli possible options in the frontline.
One blocked attempt in win
Brooks had two shots (none on goal), three crosses (none accurate) and one corner in Saturday's 2-1 win over Brighton. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 31st minute.
Analysis: Brooks managed just one blocked attempt Saturday, but was a key contributor to many of the Cherries attacking plays. He was subbed after 67 minutes. The Welsh international has demonstrated during the opening four games that he is regaining the form that made him a pivotal player in previous seasons. He has produced just one assist, with his teammates poor finishing gating him registering more. With his current form and activity on the field, he will inevitably be a regular producing assists and goals as the season progresses.
Signs new contract
Brooks has signed a new contract with Bournemouth until the end of the 2028/29 season, the club announced Thursday.
Analysis: Brooks has opened the 2025/26 season in a starting role for the Cherries, and the club has rewarded him with a new deal on the back of some strong performances. One of the most long-tenured players in the squad, Brooks will remain under contract at the Vitality Stadium for the foreseeable future. He's started the three EPL outings so far in 2025/26, racking up one assist, nine shots, six chances created, 12 crosses and six corners from his midfield role.
Woodwork strike in sharp performance
Brooks registered four shots (two on goal), four crosses (one accurate) and two corners in Saturday's 1-0 victory against Tottenham Hotspur.
Analysis: Brooks came close to getting onto the scoresheet Saturday after striking the bar in Bournemouth's 1-0 win at Tottenham. He also placed two shots on target and executed four crosses (one accurate). He was subbed after 64 minutes. The Welsh international continues to be a consistent creative presence, he will inevitably be a regular provider of assists and scorer of goals this season if his current form continues.
