Torn ACL confirmed
Odobert suffered a torn ACL and will see a specialist next week before undergoing surgery, confirmed the team.
Analysis: It's a brutal development for Odobert, who was finally getting some run with Tottenham after rarely playing the prior season, partly due to injury. He'd started seven of the last eight league and UCL games, building a role given the lack of other options. This unfortunately keeps him out until after next season starts, meaning he won't get a preseason. Nine months from February is November, so that will be the goal, but prior to surgery, it's hard to give a better timeline.
Suffers torn ACL
Odobert has suffered an ACL tear and is out for the remainder of the season into the 2026/27 campaign, according to Jack Pitt-Brooke and Jay Harris of The Athletic.
Analysis: Odobert went down with a scary injury Tuesday, and his scans have revealed the worst, with the attacker now out due to a torn ACL. This only adds to the club's injury concerns moving forward, as they will have to do without another attacker or midfielder, already missing more than 10 players due to injury. He will now focus on the next season as he prepares for a recovery period of around nine months, with a return expected after the first few months of the 2026/27 season. The club will have to find a new option on the right after Odobert assumed a couple of starts in a row recently, with Randal Kolo Muani and Mathys Tel likely to assume more time until Mohammed Kudus (quadriceps) is fit again.
